Make gold with new furnishing plans in Solstice
Some players like to say that housing is the true endgame in ESO – and honestly, for many, that’s absolutely true. That’s why new furnishing plans are always in high demand, especially right after a new zone is released.
So naturally, the very first thing I did when Update 46 dropped was dive into the new zone and start exploring. My goal? Find a spot that makes farming furnishing plans fast, efficient, and chill. And I think I’ve found the perfect place.
My favourite spot: Swenstone Cottage
And here it is. I tested several places across Solstice – delves, locked houses, and various instanced locations – but one spot stood out clearly above the rest: Swenstone Cottage, located right in the heart of the zone.
It’s a large, beautifully designed house nestled on a hill, with two floors and multiple rooms. Inside, you’ll find around 27 lootable containers, making it an ideal farming location for furnishing plans.
My personal route? I start by looting all the rooms on the ground floor, then head upstairs to clear the second floor. After reaching the last room, I reset the containers. Then I start with the opposit direction. First clear the second floor, then head down to the first floor and finish at the entrance – reset again and start over.

Why this spot is the best
In my opinion, Swenstone Cottage is hands down the best spot to farm furnishing plans in the new Solstice zone. This big, beautifully designed house has everything you need for quick and efficient farming. You’ll find around 27 containers inside, and the best part? You can loot them all without having to steal a thing. It’s super convenient and easy to reset, which makes farming runs smooth and repeatable.
Another great bonus is that loot is instanced – so even if other players are farming the same spot, you’ll still get your own personal loot. The only small drawback is a few hostile mobs hanging around the house. But honestly, they’re weak, slow to respawn, and easy to take down, so they won’t slow you down much at all.
Summary
Pros:
- High number of containers in one location
- No stealing required – clean looting
- Quick and easy to reset
- Instanced loot – no player competition
- Scenic and peaceful environment
Cons:
- A few weak enemies spawn occasionally
How to reset loot containers in ESO
There are several ways to reset containers in ESO, and the most effective method often depends on the specific location. In the case of Swenstone Cottage, the fastest and most efficient reset requires triggering a loading screen.
Here is my favourite way to achieve the loot reset:
- Loot all containers inside the house
- Open the Crown Store
- Navigate to the “Houses” section
- Teleport to any previewable house from the list
- Exit the house to return directly to your previous location
- Containers are reset

This method is great because you don’t have to leave the farming area, you return to the exact spot you left, and best of all – it costs no gold. On my PC, the full reset takes about 30 to 35 seconds, which is pretty efficient and keeps the farming loop smooth and consistent.
